Awesome news! I loved Guitar Hero games on PS2. I tried Frets on Fire a long time ago now...
I will try these two, and I have to buy an adapter for my Guitar controller...

Quoting: PublicNuisanceIf they bring it to Linux i'll buy it. Simple as that. Game looks awesome and right up my alley.

It would be great to have a GOG release too! But last time I checked their Kickstarter page, they weren't sure about this... :(

Quoting: Corey Cole on October 4, 2017As for funding, we've been out of funds for two years. Everything since then has come out of loans, and Lori's and my retirement accounts. It's safe to say at this point that we've personally spent as much on this project as we received from both Kickstarter campaigns

I didn't know about this. Hopefully, they can get some money back...

I bought the game on GOG with nearly full price. I hope the best for them.

This is indeed very nice. I would like to see more and more devs use this type of engine!
I think I will make an other donation to the project soon.

Quoting: warrengbrnDoes anyone know how to make this game work with a steam controller? All the bindings are screwed up and the game isn't playable.

I don't have a Steam controller, but you can try that as AciD said in the other topic.

And so far the game runs quite well on my side.

$ gzdoom -file GoldenSouls2_1.0.pk3

GZDoom g3.4.1 - 2018-06-13 23:44:12 +0200 - SDL version

Cannot find a game IWAD (doom.wad, doom2.wad, heretic.wad, etc.).
Did you install GZDoom properly? You can do either of the following:

1. Place one or more of these wads in ~/.config/gzdoom/.
2. Edit your ~/.config/gzdoom/gzdoom.ini and add the directories of your
iwads to the list beneath [IWADSearch.Directories]
tchey@tchey-NEW ~/.config/gzdoom $

gzdoom said: Cannot find a game IWAD (doom.wad, doom2.wad, heretic.wad, etc.)

you need a wad file in order to play gzdoom with a mod, download freedoom.wad y then type the following:
$ gzdoom -iwad freedoom.wad -file GoldenSouls2_1.0.pk3

Yeah, you still need to buy a copy of Doom or Doom 2 to be able to play GZDoom and others mods with it.
I personally bought a copy of Doom on GOG and extracted the setup with innoextract to get the WAD file...
(PS: I didn't tried this mod)

No, freedoom it's a replacement for doom2 and it's free, works with any mod

Oh, ok sorry and thanks for the tip. So the engine is free but not the original assets, right?
