Quoting: TcheyHi, i don't get how to play it.

$ gzdoom -file GoldenSouls2_1.0.pk3

GZDoom g3.4.1 - 2018-06-13 23:44:12 +0200 - SDL version
Compiled on Jun 16 2018

M_LoadDefaults: Load system defaults.
Cannot find a game IWAD (doom.wad, doom2.wad, heretic.wad, etc.).
Did you install GZDoom properly? You can do either of the following:

1. Place one or more of these wads in ~/.config/gzdoom/.
2. Edit your ~/.config/gzdoom/gzdoom.ini and add the directories of your
iwads to the list beneath [IWADSearch.Directories]
tchey@tchey-NEW ~/.config/gzdoom $

gzdoom said: Cannot find a game IWAD (doom.wad, doom2.wad, heretic.wad, etc.)

you need a wad file in order to play gzdoom with a mod, download freedoom.wad y then type the following:
$ gzdoom -iwad freedoom.wad -file GoldenSouls2_1.0.pk3

Yeah, you still need to buy a copy of Doom or Doom 2 to be able to play GZDoom and others mods with it.
I personally bought a copy of Doom on GOG and extracted the setup with innoextract to get the WAD file...
(PS: I didn't tried this mod)

Good news for the GOG version :

QuoteHey all,

It was supposed to be live for you guys right now, but we're having a bit of trouble uploading the build to the servers. We've got crappy internet here and there seems to be a bottleneck on the other side too. We'll get it up for you guys tomorrow for Mac and hopefully Linux too, but definitely in the next few days.

@Motion Twin, Merci les gars ! ;)

Game store itch is having a big summer sale

I will look at that list and see if I'm interested in some games. I'm sure I will.
Right now I bought MidBoss, Haque and donated some $ to Timbertales (I really hope It will have more sales in the future).

Quoting: saclautaaI wonder how long Apple will keep trying to get away with the crap they've been pulling in recent years. First removing every port under the sun from their devices, now removing support for the most widely used graphics APIs... It's like they don't want customers anymore.

They want customers. They want customers who use peripherals that only plug into apple devices. They want customers that use programs runnable only through apple APIs. They want customers who cannot migrate away to competition.

True, hopefully people begin to see through their bullshit and migrate before it's too late.

I would like to agree with you, but I'm too pessimistic... It's pretty the same with the Microsoft/Windows environment and I only see few people drop that for Linux. The majority still stay on it... I think most of people won't see it before it's too late, unfortunately. :(

Wow, what a day.
With this news, we'll see soon or later what devs will continue to support us (Vulkan move) and what devs won't.
It might be interesting... support Linux because it can brings more customers or because It's a Free/Libre OS?
I'm a bit afraid that we can loose some devs/porters. So wait & see...

The GOG summer sale is now live

Could never make these games work on Linux.

I bought Flatout 2 recently and yeah the GOG launcher is broken on my System.
The desktop shortcut and the sh file, it just launch a black screen 2 seconds and back to normal.
But it works if I execute directly the .exe in their Wine prefix. No issues in-game.

It's time to begin your descent, as the six-degree-of-freedom shooter 'Overload' is now out

About the lack of GOG release, the dev' said that on Steam :

QuoteNot yet; we ran into an issue, and they have a holiday today so we are having trouble resolving it. Not a set ETA; hoping by tomorrow...
