Diablo 4 is coming to Steam on October 17th

Or "better", just release them on GOG, like they did for Diablo 1 and Warcraft 1/2 for a reminder.
From Blizzard, with a strong DRM policy, it's even surprising though.

Quoting: JpxeI hope they bring over some of their older titles as well. I would love to have Diablo 1-2, StarCraft 1-2 and WarCraft 1-3 easily available with all the benefits of being on Steam; like cloud saves, easy installation, etc.

Yeap, only the "recent" 4K/UHD Blu-ray discs are region-free at last...

Quoting: pleasereadthemanualNow, if only governments would outlaw region locking with DVDs and Blu-Rays. Region-locking shows on streaming services is bad enough, but region locking physical media is incredibly greedy. Or how about creating firmware for DVD players that will refuse to play discs not authorized to play in this region? How was anti-consumer behavior like this ever allowed? Was anyone allowed to publish a hardcover book which would combust if a customer attempted to open it in Australia?
Fuck region locks. For any reason.

Quoting: tuubiIt's not just non-techy people who like Mint. I'm a computer nerd since before it was cool, with well over two decades on Linux now, and Mint serves me very well at home and at work. It's a polished distro with an out-of-the-box desktop experience that requires very little tweaking to suit my tastes and use cases.Dude, I agree with you, I really don't know where you get that idea, because I didn't.
If that makes you doubt my Linux chops, maybe it helps if I tell you that I ran Gentoo for a couple of years as my daily driver back when it was relatively new and anything but user friendly.

But the thing you seem to forget is that Purple Library Guy don't like much tech things, as he said about it many times, so I'm sure just install Mint (classic or Debian Edition) is simpler for him than to install Debian.

Quoting: slaapliedjeMaybe you're right, or wrong, I don't know exactly what Mint does or not (but I don't think it's just "that")...Quoting: tuubiHonest question; what do they do different that would make me want to switch to Mint DE over just Debian? Debian has a much more flexible installer (still one of the best if you need software raid, or anything funky). These days it's just a matter of install, maybe run 'apt install nvidia-driver' and be done with it. My last few installs (that were non-nvidia) just worked out of the box with all drivers / hardware detected and is rock solid.Quoting: slaapliedjeQuoting: Purple Library GuyI don't use it but I'm glad it exists, 'cause if odd things happen with Ubuntu I could end up still able to use Mint thanks to its existence.Or I mean you could just install Debian and pick Cinnamon during install...
That would be fine if Mint simply slapped a different DE on Ubuntu/Debian and called it a day. Would be a bit silly if they did, don't you think?

I think it's a bit harsh to say that, even if I agree with you on this point and I'm often angry to see some devs not care about GOG users etc... It's the reason I didn't buy Desperados III on GOG, but I have Shadow Tactics.
And unfortunately, Shadow Gambit is Windows-only...
But their games were, apparently, great/very interesting, so in the end it's just sad in the "games makers" world, "no matter" where it's released.

Good riddance
