Innerspace now founded! Yaaaaas! Excited for that one. I fell in love with it as I was writing it up. So mellow. So beautiful.

Prismata closing in on $100k too, so fingers crossed there. Trend looks solid.

And Thimbleweed finally looks to be slowing down slightly. Aiming for the half-million I think, although the trend puts it over $750k!!! Surely it can't hope to keep that kind of momentum going!?

The developers attitude over the past year has left too sour a taste in my mouth for me to be "happy" that this is out. I'm relieved that, as a backer, we have something to show for the money we risked 15 months ago. That's about it. That's as good as it gets for me so far.

I'm installing it now though. You never know...

Not just a rewrite to get rid of Air, but also an update to HD sprites and some writing. Full changes listed:

Azra's Journal will be moved to the regular game
A "behind the scenes" developer Journal will be added to NewGame+
Hero Mode will become an explicitly supported game mode
We'll do a much better job of explaining NewGame+ when you beat the regular game
James (our writer) will sprinkle some other additional story material throughout (no new cutscenes though)
The awkward "Bulldog" targetting mode will be replaced with "Target specific enemy"
We're trying to make the DQ2 engine fully deterministic and compatibile with replay files. If we achieve that, we'll ship it with DQ1HD.
We'll include any random engine upgrdes intended for DQ2 that are compatible with/useful for DQ1

Great news - a great TD game with RPG elements nicely integrated. I only ever got a few hours into it, but I think I'll be revisiting on the back of this news.

PS+ is doing the rebirth version, are they? Good deal. There always was some gems on PS+ back when I had a PS3 and subscription. It was only £35/year when I had it though. Do you pay monthly now?

As for the game, I'll hang fire on this one, despite the excellent reviews. It might be a Christmas purchase for me. We'll see. Looks a little dark for my liking, and I own the original through the Humble Bundle, although I've never bothered downloading it.

I'm not buying into conspiracy theories here, but I agree - I've had the survey twice in 18 months under Ubuntu, but when I was on Windows it would pop up every other month or so. And I think I do more gaming now than I did then too!

Of course, if I was buying into conspiracy theories, I'd suggest that Valve's marketing for Steam Machines will have more impact if, after 3 months of their launch, they've doubled or trebled the market share...

Yeah, it's not like I haven't done it before, it's true. But I've already dropped $30 (£18) on HiB13, so if I buy Transistor for £8, and they then release it for HiB, I'll be a bit annoyed. It would feel like buying it twice.

Definitely a game I want though... so we'll see. I generally have the will of a 5 yr old child at Christmas time, so there's a good chance that I'll buckle like a cheap belt over the weekend and end up buying it anyway!

Goddam, I nearly bought Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet a couple of days ago. Bit mean of them to release it on Steam, then for it to hit the Bundle a few days later.

But what a bundle! One of the best. I'm impressed.
