Actually, I didn't want to buy the game at first, because my "pile of shame" is already as big as the Statue of Liberty. And I'm not sure if it works with my 2nd Gen GCN graphics card (R9 280X) at all. But when my Steam app just made me aware of a special price for a game on my wish list... and there is a 67% discount for RoTR... for only 16,49 Euro... I could not resist.
The download is running. I'll start the game right now to count it as Linux version. But I will probably not be able to really test or play it until the weekend.

It is interesting to see that DX12 has no advantages under Windows. Much rather even disadvantages up to as good as DX11.
There Vulkan brings already clearly more - for us! :)

Hmm. Won't be playable for me. I have an R9 280, which is the second generation of GCN. According to the specifications, however, at least a 3rd generation card is required.
*I´m sad!*
That's the reason why I can't play F1.
I must be thinking about a new graphics card. If only they weren't so expensive at the moment because of the whole mining mania...

Is that correct? If so, then I would think about it, too. I want to use my money to support the website and not an intermediary that I do not need otherwise.
What else happens if I change that? Can I no longer receive the patreon news for supporters? So, for example the news about the new hardware a few days ago.

DayZ has been in Alpha since 2013 and early access since 2015. There is still no beta and currently the game is at V0.62.
Release cycle:
V0.61 on Dec 19, 2016
V0.62 on Aug 7, 2017
V0.63 ... maybe in the next days
If those continue to work at this speed we already have a Mars colony before the game is done.
That's why I do not worry about a Linux release of DayZ for a long time.
