When there are enough Steam Deck users, they should probably plonk in a bit of crowdsourced reporting like how ProtonDB works, with a short mini-survey.

I wonder if some devs have not perhaps explicitly asked for some games to be marked as unsupported. Counter-point to this would be Europa Universalis, because other paradox games are verified/playable.

Bungie has more to say on Destiny 2 for Steam Deck and it's still a no

"Oh no, we have a cheating problem on Windows, best keep those stinky Linux users out. Everyone knows they're mad haxx0rz that sit in their hoodies in the dark cheating at video games."

GOG suspends all sales in Russia and Belarus

I'd generally prefer anything that could be used as a channel of communication to remain open. Russians are getting loads of misinformation, and loads of sites are being cut off to keep the propaganda going. So anything allowing the truth to be told is welcome.

Bungie say a big fat no to Proton and Steam Deck for Destiny 2

Apex Legends is not really a similar game at all unless you only play Destiny PvP. There is no PvE content in Apex at all.

There's always Warframe.

Saying "you will be faced with a ban" is not antagonistic in of itself because, as Liam wrote, this is literally how ANY anti-cheat supported game reacts, and has done since Wine came onto the scene, and isn't new behaviour. It'd be antagonistic if Bungie had said "We will never support linux you weebs, and you'll face a ban for even trying on your cruddy operating system". That would be antagonistic. What we got was boilerplate PR speak, and nothing more.

What we're currently seeing, and probably will continue to see for the foreseeable future, is just news sites making a bigger deal out of this than they should be because the Steam Deck is the new hot thing, and being outraged at Bungie's response about not playing a game like that on the Deck is gonna get some clicks. Glad Liam didn't fall for that trap, so mad respect.

There are much better ways they could have worded all of that.

Watch Valve's Gabe Newell deliver some Steam Decks

A massive amount of games got added yesterday as Unsupported in deck verified. Not sure what's up there. It's almost like they are going after those specifically. A lot of them are games that do actually work in Proton.

Quoting: starpolloDoes the proton version in experimental work with EAC yet for Elden Ring? Or are we still waiting on an update to get that working?

EAC works, yes. I summoned a fellow doofus last night to a dungeon.

Quoting: emodIn the bleeding-edge version this appears to be fixed.

Seems to be here, but with Experimental bleeding-edge it does not seem to load Steam Input and the Overlay and my controller is not recognised.
