Haha, maybe they read my blog post.

Joking aside, this is a good start. Their games are not for everyone and their games sometimes disappear when licensing agreements run out, but it is fairly solid entertainment.

You can be brave and use the experimental Unity Linux build.

We made a game in it for the last Ludum Dare.

Sales Statistics From Super Win the Game, All Platforms Did Badly

Quoting: MGOidI played You Have to Win the Game (the free version) and NEON STRUCT (demo) form this developer, and I think his games are pretty solid, bug free software. Impressive that they are made by one single developer.

But they are also a one man show, so very simple games. YHtWtG is one of the most hardcore, difficult games I have played, leaving both Super Meat Boy and They Bled Pixels behind. Still a good, enjoyable game.

So is not a surprise that the sales figures are low. You have to remember that the majority of the people playing games stink, so a "easy" mode have to be provided, or you risk the loss of a lot of sales.

This is not accurate. There are two of them, brothers, who each work on their own games independently, but publish under the same company name. NEON STRUCT and YHTWTG were not made by the same person.

A bit short-sighted, perhaps, but likely none of the things you added. (plus a bit rude)

It's worth noting that in the tweet thread that prompted the interview question, here https://twitter.com/Obsidian/status/637755811469520896 he does say they may still support Linux but have to evaluate.

Quoting: TakFor what it's worth, one of the The Maker's Eden team used a private build of this for the recent Ludum Dare

Yus! And I have given them feedback on issues/findings. In general it works well, except a few crashes and UI goofiness in places. They are aware of some of these, but I trust my fellow Linuxers will continue to submit useful constructive feedback/bug reports.
