It's not FOSS, but it does allow redistribution of derivative works. Here are the actual terms:

I was gonna say it sounds like this is converging on what the original Whisker Squadron was supposed to be, but it looks like the store page for the other game doesn't mention on-rails sections anymore. I guess they decided to split the concept into completely separate Star Fox-like and Everspace-like games? I think that was a good decision if so. I'm actually a little more interested in this one now that it appears to be developing into more of a full-fledged rail shooter and not just a basic side-project.

Last I heard, 2s2h is incorporating a bunch of pull requests that haven't been merged into the main decomp project yet, and what little was left after that they did themselves. As I understand it, the decomp project has a very stringent process because it's aiming for a well-documented, perfect recreation of the original source, whereas 2s2h just needed something functional, which is how they were able to get a little ahead of the decomp.

I hesitate to go further on this tangent, but this comes up from time to time and I get the impression there may be a genuine disconnect here. When people here talk about America or Americans, we're talking about the US or citizens thereof, not trying to speak for anybody else. If we want to speak more broadly, we'll use more precise words like the actual names of the continents, or "the Americas." In fact, I'm genuinely surprised to see you react as if the phrase "the Americas" is being pedantic in this instance, because I've always taken the need for such specificity for granted.

Sorry if I've written another dissertation, I just feel like I'm having words put in my mouth anytime this comes up. There are plenty of legit pigheaded attitudes to go around in the US, but I don't think a simple abbreviation of our country's stupid name is one of them.

I think it depends on how you hold a controller. The way I do, with my hands pointed mostly forward and with the grips filling my palms, my thumbs naturally land on the upper controls at rest. The only way I can get the lower controls to feel like the primary positions is if I mainly hold the body with my finger tips and knuckles, with my hands pointed more inward toward each other. I feel like I have more control the first way, but like my wrists are maybe at a more natural angle the second way.

The GameCube controller was very clearly designed for the former style. The PS1 and 2 controllers seem like they're maybe designed for the latter (I could never find a comfortable way to hold them). The 360 controller feels like it can accommodate either style reasonably well, and other modern controllers look like they follow a similarly less prescriptive trend.

Workshop load order is really helpful. Finally I can give people a better solution than "unsubscribe and resubscribe and hope Steam moves it to the end of the list" when they're trying to use two of my mods together.

I don't know if everything Samsai encountered has been fixed, but if any bugs remain I think there's a good chance they'd be fixed if reported.
