The trailer seems rather Sonic-heavy... leaning a bit too much on the pre-order cosmetics?

Quoting: NeptNutzI now have 51 games worth $965 at today's prices on Steam!!!
Thanks, Liam!

You weren't kidding, it really is 51 games currently. Thanks to Liam, and thanks to the Heroic team for making them easily accessible!

The Epic and GOG games showed up in Heroic right away, but the Amazon ones have not. Maybe it has something to do with me linking my Amazon account to my wife's, since I dropped my Prime subscription long ago, but she still has one...

I see they are (rightfully) getting review bombed; let's see if it's enough to trigger a course correction.

QuoteThe developer also told me it will have a Steam Bundle

If it's this one: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/30724/Chesslike_Roguelike_Bundle/
Then note that it's not the "complete your bundle" style / no discount for already owning something.

Quoting: Liam DaweAs far as I am aware, no, this is not how it's supposed to be used, and ends up every time causing issues with an empty download when Steam is looking for the Linux version. So you have to manually force Proton. I've reached out to Valve to see if they plan to allow developers to properly note Proton support to stop this issue.

I have absolutely no issues with it myself, if the developer has tested it working and will keep it working with Proton. The issue is how Steam fubars the download right now when it's ticked and the dev meant Proton.

Valve should offer an explicit "we support Proton" option, which then shows a Proton icon instead of the SteamOS one (actually, it would be even better if they ditched that and went back to Tux).

Edit: forgot to add - removal of said explicit support, whether it be Proton or Linux, should also increase liability for refunds. Not sure what the rules should be exactly, but there should be some level of consequence.

I was tempted for a moment, but I expected this was coming, and the temptation passed.

Quoting: PhiladelphusAre there any potential complications/consequences for setting vm.max_map_count higher, or is this a set-it-and-forget-it sort of change?

The way I read that is: unless you are trying to track down crashes in ancient Linux binaries, the old default is not relevant.
