Quoting: GuestDid this ever get fixed by the way? I'm thinking of buying it even though I was initially going to wait for a sale

Is it just me or does it sound like they're not doing "that" great profit wise as a company atm?

It does look like a very charming game, is it worth the money?

I know personally my Steam controller isn't properly recognized (the game thinks it's a mouse according to the log file), but Liam tested gamepad functionality for puppy games and it worked fine for him. I uploaded a config that mimics the expected control layout, so a steam controller should work either natively or by tricking the game into thinking you're using a kbd & mouse.e

As for their financials, I don't know for sure obviously, but it sounds like the game isn't flying off the shelves, but they, like a lot of indie games, have no marketing budget.

I think it's worth the money, but your tastes may vary. You could always try it and get a refund if you don't like it.

I only own some of Double Fine's Amnesia Fortnite seasons, but I like that it provides an alternate audio track for commentary, something I don't see on any other streaming video purchase sites that I'm aware of. Does anyone know if this is a common option for videos (especially movies) on Steam?

Rise of the Tomb Raider has a new opt-in beta to help with NVIDIA issues

I'm still on the drivers that came in the latest SteamOS (387.something) and this beta resolved my main issue which was the cutscenes would grind the game to a halt. Thank you, Feral!

I've played for a couple of hours and it's really fun. The only problem I've had so far is native controller detection, otherwise it works great.

Rise of the Tomb Raider for Linux to release tomorrow, April 19th

Quoting: ageres> For NVIDIA GPU users, you will need the latest 396.18 beta driver at a minimum.

I tried to install 396.18, it crashed my system, and I had to go back to 390.48. Damn Nvidia.

I'm not interested in installing beta drivers right now anyway. My system at least meets minimum specs otherwise. Guess I'll wait until the drivers become more stable to purchase the game. Hi ho.

NVIDIA dropping support for 32bit Linux this month, also dropping Fermi series support

Quoting: Mountain ManAnybody running a 32-bit OS in 2018 probably doesn't have the hardware capable of running any game released in the past few years anyway.

I have a 6-7 yo netbook as a media server which theoretically should be able to run 64-bit, but the xubuntu USB install kept locking up on boot, so I stuck to 32 rather than bother investigating. Regardless, I don't think it could decently run some 2D games from its own time even. And it's an Intel graphics chip anyway.

Observer is a fantastic brain-hacking horror adventure, my thoughts

I used my Steam Controller to play the game (with the right pad and gyro set to the mouse) and it worked really well. I didn't have any problems with dialog selection since it changed the highlighted item with a simple up/down movement of the analog stick. There was only one time where I had problems where my character died and the menu that came up thought I was using a mouse; it was only then that I experienced odd mouse cursor movements like you were describing. The game ran smoothly on my system on high settings with no major fps problems

What have you been playing and what do you think?

Been playing Steamworld Dig 2 and Bendy and the Ink Machine (they've upped the creepy freak-out factor quite a bit) on my own and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime with my kids
