That really has some potential - does it show which proton or ge-proton version should be used if default proton fails?

Quoting: WMan22but if they're delisting this, we're stuck with a version that not only doesn't have these things, but also contains Denuvo DRM, in SEGA GENESIS GAMES.

I really like Valheim - but the progress in development really is disappointing considering the massive success.
Me and my friends are waiting eagerly for enough new content to start another playthrough, but since our first playthrough right after release not too much has changed unfortunately...if you don't want to resort to heavy modding that is.
Hopefully the Mistlands update will arrive soon and will blow our minds :D

Well, Apex Legends is not something i would consider "indie" ;)
There have been several not-so-small studios that released patches to optimize for the Deck, so i wouldn't say its just the indies, albeit they surely are the majority.
Of course it would be nice to have dozens of millions of sold units to "force" the industry to finally care about linux, but i'm pretty happy with the progress we've seen in the last few months already. ^^

I'm sure they'll change things once the production surpasses the demand - but as that seems to still not be the case for the Index, i doubt it'll be too soon.
And i'm not sure if that's a bad thing.
As polished as the Deck already is, i wouldn't say it's something a completely oblivious person should just grab from the shelf of a big vendor because they like the packaging.
I'm also not sure if it really needs to compete with the number of switches shipped, at least not for "our" purpose. It "just" has to solve the chicken&egg problem - and seeing how many devs are jumping at it, it seems to be doing a pretty good job at that.

I'm glad they DIDN'T do that - otherwise you could be 100% sure that 99% of Decks would be grabbed by scalpers...

Quoting: elmapulsell the deck on direct sales instead of pre order reservations and sell in major stores.

Quoting: TheRiddickI guess not bad for a console that only sells in the US and UK...I know it's not worldwide, but certainly much more than US and UK (i got mine last week here in germany)

It wasn't meant to be disrespectful, sorry for that! I guess my wording wasn't perfect - I'm aware that sprites can be a whole lot of work, it's just that (at least thats my impression) sprites seem to be THE current way of "doing retro" and it feels "lazy" to jump on the bandwagon and go with it. That doesn't mean it's a bad game or no work is put into it (i love project warlock and poke around GZDoom now and then, so i'm not totally against this ^^), it's just that i tend to get "fed up" with trends like straight pixel art, low poly or sprites if the games don't put a "new spin" on it. That can be something like kingdom: two crowns combining pixel art with modern reflections or like selaco seemingly including above average amount of anmiation-steps. Of course some things are more noticable than others and videos often doesn't do it justice, but it can quickly feel like "more of the same". Project Warlock or Ion Fury are great games with a lot of attention to detail - but the first impression (at least graphically) isn't blowing me away so to speak.
I will totally try the demo and in general love oldschool FPS - my post was more a general mini-rant about repeated trends in artstyle and not directly targeted at selaco. Should have made that more clear i guess ^^

i'm really not too big of a fan of the resurgence of sprite enemy models. It can be cool if it gets a modern treatment like for example with prodeus, but most of the time, it just looks lazy to me and could as well be some GZDoom-Wad...
Sorry Arch (EndeavourOS), it's not working out any more and hello Fedora

The only thing i had breaking in the year or so i'm using arch now was a pipewire bug with audio-devices that promote multiple sinks (in my case my Astro A50 with its game- and chat- sink). KDE (and the rest of Arch) has been rock solid for me, even more so than Manjaro ^^

Quoting: CybolicIn my experience, as long as one stays away from the bells-n-whistles DEs like Gnome/KDE/Plasma, it's extremely rare for things to break on Arch.

Quoting: ShabbyXI work on open source, and it's rare to see insults from random people. Release it, and ignore trolls if any. If your project is not successful, there isn't any reason for trolls to attack it, and if it _is_ successful, well you always know the majority of people are happy with it.
