Another big SteamVR update is out now, with plenty of Linux fixes for VR enthusiasts

Nope, i have to switch manually as well.
Also, i still have massive reprojection issues in several titles (Project Cars 2, Talos VR, Senuas Sacrifice VR to name a few) - but i don't know if that might be attributed to the early state of 19.3 Navi drivers.
The Overlay doesn't work for me at all since some time, pretty annoying :/
And one other big elephant in the room is that there is no basestation power management on Linux, so you have to manually unplug them...

Quoting: EhvisQuoteBy default, SteamVR will now select the correct audio input and output devices that actually belong to the active VR HMD.
Does this actually work for anybody on Linux? It sure doesn't for me. Also, the volume setting in the SteamVR overlay doesn't work for me when I manually switch the audio over.

If i don't trust MS with my OS, i won't trust them with my browser...
Just wished they would release their games on Linux instead of this useless Edge thingy...^^
Thats what i'm saying to people for a long time...especially people that ditch chrome for a chromium-based browser to "escape google"...

Quoting: LinasThis may actually have long-term negative effect on WWW as a whole, as Microsoft has just given Google complete control over the web technologies. I am already noticing more and more websites that work in Chrome, but not Firefox. Chrome is becoming the new Internet Explorer. Quite literally.

Google want Stadia to have exclusive games other platforms can't support

Technical Exclusivity is kind of OK - but i HIGHLY doubt that will be the case. I simply don't see them assigning much more CPU/GPU-Power to a single instance than a modern gaming PC provides. The claim might hold true for mobile games or consoles, but other than that it will probably be the blant, simple, anti-consumer political exclusivity that is plaguing us with other consoles already...

While i don't really appreciate pixelart that is just plain "oldschool" (like ion fury ;) ), i love games where oldschool graphics style is "reinvented" with modern effekts - like prodeus or kingdom two crowns for example.
The same time i like oldschool shooters, do i really look forward to Prodeus :D

On the one hand, it is good that blender gets funding - on the other hand i'd hate to see funding on a FOSS-Project "wasted" by supporting closed stuff like CUDA :/
What's that? Another Steam Client Beta update? With a Linux platform filter? Yes it is

nope, all installed - has been crashing on my old machine with vulkan, too...
So unless it's something fundamental with manajro i don't see what might be missing :/

Overlay works for me fine on Vulkan with async compute on now.
Which is only active with either TSAA 8X or no AA modes.

Be sure you have Vulkan libs properly installed.

on first glance, i quite like it.
only "downside" i noticed right now is that the contrast between installed/not installed games is not as clear as before.

You may want to hold off on Linux Kernel 5.3 and systemd 243 if you use a gamepad

I've had 5.3 rc7 and 243 for a while (manjaro reverted back to 242 in the meantime), and didn't notice any issues with my xbox 360. At least not in Project Cars 2.
