Thank you, Liam! I've been wondering whether the itch.io client works on the Steam Deck. I'm glad it does, even if it is in desktop mode only.
I'm looking forward to playing Celeste on the Steam Deck. Maybe I will even get better at it (wishful thinking).

Judging from a lot of negative reviews on Steam it seems that the game is poorly optimized. Maybe after a few patches from the developers there won't be a need for Valve to make their own fixes.
Still, thumbs up to Valve and the Proton team!

Mine shows 9% as playable with only 5 games unsupported. Things are looking bright.
Tomb Raider's Linux port from Feral Interactive delisted on Steam

The native port has some black textures when using the recent NVIDIA drivers, but, other than that, I didn't have a single problem with it. It runs very smoothly on my GTX 1080, and even the multiplayer part works well (though it's virtually impossible to play with anyone, because there is no cross-platform multiplayer).
On the other hand, I understand why Feral don't bother with renewing the license.

They had a Linux demo during one of Steam Next Fests last year, so I don't doubt they will release a native Linux build.
I enjoyed playing the demo, and I think I'll get the game (though likely not right after the release).

Quoting: CatKillerThis looks exactly like the kind of game I'm planning on enjoying on the Steam Deck, so I hope they'll have their native build (not currently listed) and controller support (not currently listed) sorted by the time I have my unit, and that the text isn't too tiny.

My favourite 2021 games played on Linux

Valheim and Loop Hero are also on my list of the games released in 2021 I enjoyed the most.
Another game I enjoyed a lot is Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. It's a short and silly game, but it's a lot of fun.
I also have to mention two games that went out of early access this year: Wildermyth and Vagrus - The Riven Realms.
The former is, in my opinion, a great game, if you like tabletop RPGs, but have no friends to play with. The tactical turn-based battle are very enjoyable, and the art style is unique and really makes the game stand out.
The latter is a very hard and harsh game that requires you to read a lot. The concept may seem a bit similar to The Banner Saga, but Vagrus is actually even harder, as there are more variables to take into account.

EndeavourOS gets a big upgrade to their ISO download that's 'a significant step' for it

I've been using EndeavourOS for almost a year, and I'm quite happy with it.
As I see it, Manjaro is a great choice for "regular users" that just want everything to work. On the other hand, EndeavourOS is perfect for power users and developers who want to learn how to use Arch Linux. I really appreciate the work the developers put into their Welcome app.

I'm now a true convert after using a Vertical Mouse

I've been using a vertical mouse for a couple of years now, and it really helped me with my carpal tunnel syndrome. I can work for extensive periods of time without my wrists hurting.
That being said, taking a break for a couple of minutes now and then, and stretching a bit also helps a lot.
I also have a regular mouse that I use mainly for games that require speed and precision (FPS, RTS).

I already got 4 Yakuza games (0-3) thanks to Humble Bundle. If they keep it up, maybe in the end I'll have the entire Yakuza collection (by the way, all of them work very well with Proton).
Not many native Linux games this month, but one was on my wishlist for quite a while (ADOM), so I'm not complaining.
