Quoting: rcritAm I the the only one hesitant to remove native games in case they disappear from Steam?
Maybe? I don't worry about it at least. If a native port is removed, chances are the Windows version will run better through Proton/Wine anyway. I'd rather have a working game than a hacky port, and if the devs remove it, chances are the port wasn't great to begin with.

Quoting: CybolicOh, that new library management is excellent news! It even supports moving a game to a different library directly from the listing!

I don't know if you've seen what they're intending for the Steam Deck.

Oh, I have! Just as I access ROMs/ISOs/ADFs from my NAS, I can imagine starting to put less disk intensive games on an SD card and just plug it in when it's time to play. Great things are coming our way :D

Baobab is also and option.
You just wait for the disk to be analyzed, then go to your library in baobab and sort the game folders by size.[...]
Yeah, there are various other options (KFileLight and duc also come to mind), but the workflow is the same. Having my games spread over four libraries, that meant a lot of context switching that can now pretty much be eliminated :D

It was really frustrating making room for new games in the past, switching back and forth between Steam and ncdu, searching for each ncdu listing in Steam, moving it, going back to ncdu, updating to find the next candidate, repeat... This is so much better :D

I think this discussion is turning heavily into forum material, but I just have to jump in and mention that I was one of the ones who loved the "buttons on the left" choice for no other reason than it put the close button where it belongs - the same place as on AmigaOS :D

I'm still just trying to put my head back together after hearing NVIDIA and Bethesda working together on an Arm Linux project running on Arch... and so soon after the Steam Deck announcement! I am shook I tell you, shook!

Quoting: InterloperHonestly, after the Cuties incident, Netflix should not get any kind of publicity.

Nefarious and disgusting company. I hope they fail.
They made a terrible poster - let's not throw the whole company out over one bad marketing decision. If you have an issue with the movie itself, I suggest you read this to at least get a picture of why it exists.
That defense is absolute hogwash. She is either dishonest and knew exactly what they were doing, or she seriously has the most flawed logic on this planet. [...]
Regardless of what you think of the film or the director, Netflix's part in this is that they picked up the feature film debut - the script for which had already won the Sundance Global Filmmaking Award - of a director whose previous short film won over 60 awards.
They are a media distribution company and this film certainly qualified as something that had a good chance of finding an audience, at least on paper.
Remember, they didn't produce it, they picked it up for international distribution and the defence you read in that article should give a decent indication as to what they intended to distribute, no matter how the film ended up connecting.

Anyway, games.

Considering how poor the global availability is of the current ones, some competition that might be able to reach other locations surely can't hurt :)

Surreal point & click horror adventure Strangeland released for Linux

Quoting: hardpenguinFirst thought: Wadjet Eye? YAY!
Second thought: horror? heck no, I'm scared

It's more of a surreal horror atmosphere, there aren't any actual scary scenes or moments (well, there's a dog bark - that's about it).
More Poe than King in other words :)
