according to your profile you are not using KDE and i think most people have troubles with the step from KDE5 to KDE6.
i have a second PC with Kubuntu for some years now. never had troubles upgrading it. btw i need to upgrade to 24.4
but i try to keep my systems as vanilla as possible to avoid such problems

Quoting: legluondunetIt's a little issue, nothing compared to an Ubuntu upgrade version where upgrade halted before the end and you can no more start the computer.

i am not avoiding, i am delaying
it just does not look very good, but i will clone my drive in a few days an try the update
many problems come with KDE6, so it does not matter what form of release you have. kubuntu will face the same issues, but they have 5 more months to fix them, because they did not use it for 24.4

Quoting: 14avoiding a "major upgrade" as is described here is the exact reason I am on a rolling release, so Manjaro's user experience does not jive with me. It's like a rounded step release instead of rolling.

i think this is the problem a lot of manjaro users have.
remove QUIET from grub fixes it.
but i would not use manjaro today with AMD GPU, because they removed x264/5 hardware acceleration from mesa

Quoting: BrokattI tried Manjaro in February but it broke after an update. I was unable to boot so I wiped the disk and install Kubuntu instead.

you know this is a remake of a game that already has LINUX support?
when they say there will be a linux version, i am very confident, that they will deliver
they just released a game with linux support: Beyond a Steel Sky
anyways. sadly they wanted to release it Q1. now they have Q2.
but 400k sounds like they gonna remake all broken sword games. i am hoping for a 2D version of 3+4. 3D point and click does not work for me.

Quoting: pleasereadthemanualThis is the first time I've heard of this game, but it looks quite cool.
QuoteIt will have full Linux support too, as confirmed by the developer. We'll see.

games on steam have tags. they tell you everything you need to know. you do not need the government for this

Quoting: GuestI'm somewhat a fan of this idea. I know that most games aren't horrible or inappropriate, but I like to know what I'm getting into and indie titles usually don't have an ESRB rating.

that could be the case. manjaro is still on mesa 23.1 and i think even the testing branch is still on this version.
it is a rolling release. so much for that

Quoting: ShmerlQuoting: mylkai do not have many RT games, but i tried it with lego builders journey on epic with heroic
still have to use "RADV_PERFTEST=rt", or i do not get the RT option
You must have old Mesa then. It shouldn't be necessary otherwise.
