Steam Link hardware officially walks the plank, there's an app for that

I have one and think it's great, but it's frustrating that Steam still doesn't use hardware encoding when streaming from a Linux box with AMD graphics. This means it's not such a great experience streaming hardware intensive games like Hitman, Tomb Raider, Mad Max etc. Games with lower harder requirements work great though.
There's also a Steam Link app for more recent Samsung TVs. I think my TV supports it but I haven't bothered to try it yet since I have the physical device.

Fanatical have started their Halloween sale already. I was going to wait until Battletech came out of beta, but I might pick it up now through that.
In other sale news, right now Humble have a Warner Brothers bundle that gets you Shadow of Mordor for $1. That's pretty tempting. (I already have Bastion and Mad Max which are the only Linux games in the higher priced tiers.)

Any idea why they would whitelist The Old Blood but not The New Order? Aren't they the same engine?

I bought this last week, but have actually spent more time hacking on the AGS interpreter to get OpenGL rendering (and hence hardware scaling) working. I've just tonight got it to the point where it should be playable in full-screen mode. See https://github.com/adventuregamestudio/ags/issues/510 for details.
My graphics section of acsetup.cfg looks like:

Thanks Liam, I've been curious about Subset's plan for Into the Breach since Proton was announced. I'm waiting for Steam Play to come out of beta before I try this, but I'm pretty tempted to just go ahead and get it already.

I'm about halfway through Unforeseen Incidents, which I picked up in the Humble sale last week. It's pretty good, if a bit slow. Not in terms of game performance. Just that I get impatient watching my character walk from point A to point B.
