I've no idea! I'm quite adept at forgetting things fairly quickly mind I'll revisit and have a look.
Next time I play it I'll use the Steam controller instead. It's in the drawer right here but I rarely use it. I did get it out for Streets Of Rogue but that game just auto quit every time I tried to play with it.

Quoting: scaineWhaaaa? There's an early level that puts you in a water-suit and you literally can't complete the level unless you spin through the rock. The game gives you huge hints ("Maybe there's another way you can burrow through rock?") if you can't figure it out. How did you get past that??

Quoting: scaineI can't imagine playing this on the keyboard/mouse to be honest. It's such a nice feel on the controller, and like I say, Q-Games are very focused on the console experience!

I've never attempted a game of this nature as they always seemed a little too complicated and in-depth but I really enjoyed watching that play through and I'm tempted. Can anyone recommend a game of this type to "cut my teeth on", so to speak. Something more beginner orientated maybe?
I probably own a few of them already!

Well I never knew that! Probably because I play with keyboard and mouse.
Great game, recommended.

Saturday Mag: Linux gaming news odds and ends plus a look at a few things on sale

Aaaarghhhh!!! I'm trying to juggle Streets Of Rogue, Doom (2016) and XCOM 2. I normally finish one game at a time but I thought I'd have a look at Streets Of Rogue as I'd got it on sale and was then hooked, leaving Doom half finished. I then got the XCOM 2 collection on sale and thought I'll have a quick peek... ooops, bad idea. I'm very conflicted now. It's hard work this Linux gaming :D
Liam - I have no idea how you review all these games and write it all up as well (so well), amazing!

QuoteFinally, a question! What have you been playing this week and what do you think about it?

Just a heads-up folks... Fanatical have the "XCOM 2 Collection" on a 66% off sale, for 4 days. This works out cheaper at £27.19 than buying directly from Steam for £32.53 (just XCOM2 and WOTC) and you get the Steam keys.
Included are XCOM 2, XCOM 2: WAR OF THE CHOSEN and four DLC packs. And of course you then get the new Tactical Legacy Pack for free.
Looks like I'll finally get my hands on the lot! :D

Maybe it's an age thing but I have no incentive or excitement for having to have a game on release. Maybe there's peer pressure too when you're younger.
Personally I'm more than happy to wait that long for Rise of the Tomb Raider as it came with all the bug fixes and DLC ^_^ Seems ideal to me.
I'm not happy paying that much either. I will almost nearly always only buy on sale if it's that expensive to start with. The only one I did pay full price was the last Tomb Raider but as more of a "thank you" to Feral (direct from their site).
This is also directed at XCOM2 + War Of The Chosen. That's just too much for me. XCOM 2 is currently on sale on Steam, so I'll pick that up. Then it's a case of hoping War Of The Chosen is on sale before the deadline to get this expansion for free. If not I'll pick them both up at a later date when on sale.
Edit: WOTC is also on sale on Steam at 40% off but it's still too much for me right now at £20.99

Quoting: KimyrielleSeriously I don't know why some devs think it's acceptable to make us wait a year or two for a Linux version to appear, and then they complain if it doesn't sell well. That we're a smaller platform doesn't mean that we want to play outdated games any more than the Windows folks do. If you work with a porting house, is it really so much asked for to let them to port the game as soon as the Windows version is out? Feral doesn't need two years to port a game, and yet the few AAA ports we're getting usually launch with a substantial enough delay that I am sometimes wondering who's even still buying these games when they finally arrive on Linux. *looks at Rise of the Tomb Raider*

Quoting: g000hOne thing that irritates me these days is the cost of "AAA" games. I'm not completely put off by a brand new AAA title costing $30 ( £20 ) , and then subsequent, brand new DLC costing half of that $15 ( £10 ). But for a game to cost $65+ ( £50+ ) new, and the DLC to cost $45 ( £35 ) new - Typical pricing. The world's gone mad!
This "War of the Chosen" DLC is $45 ( £35 ) - For that same money, I could have 20 good games titles, from bundles.

Have to also agree on the difficulty level. Loved the first game but the second got too hard too quickly and I gave up I'm afraid to say. I don't see a problem with having difficulty levels for the casuals like me, couldn't be that hard to implement.

I have only been playing Streets of Rogue, I'm finding it incredibly addictive I stopped halfway through DOOM (2016) to try it and haven't been back!
I've only got the Wolf and the Gangster to unlock now, the Ninja took me the longest. I've disabled about half of the disaster mutators but have kept the cop lockdown. Anyway, I've spent enough time nattering, I must get back to it :D

Quoting: WorMzyI have been playing:
Streets of Rogue - nearly unlocked all characters now. Very fun game, although the cop lock down mutator is annoying, I always get it when I'm trying to be pacifist. :/
