Star Trek: Infinite from Paradox releases October 12

I've finally given up on it after Strange New Worlds had a dancing Klingon boy band - that episode was actually embarrassing. I thought the first series of Discovery was good but it's been going rapidly downhill since. No comparison with the excellent Star Wars stuff that's ongoing.

Quoting: ElectricPrism...I mean. Star Trek has been dead to me for a while now.. especially after the "ActionMan" movies painted Picard as a psychopathic killer instead of a wise diplomat sage....
Star Trek has been action schlock for a while now.
I guess AI/Neural Networks are our only hope or restoring it to its pristine original form about showing moral conundrums and navigating ethically complex situations objectively.

I have them all as well. They were my first time playing an RPG and a card flipper (or whatever it's termed!). Very disappointing there's no Linux native.

I've not got to 4 yet (still on 3, to be followed by New Vegas) but the reviews on Steam seem to overwhelmingly point to NOT installing the hi-res texture DLC as it causes too much instability (added bonus - disk space and download time savings).

Quoting: GuestHigh resolution texture pack? The giant DLC feels a bit like how GTAV went from 15 on last gen to 60 GB on then-current gen, probably not worth downloading.

I'm really in the market for a new keyboard but not without Linux support in the software. I've been down that road, never again. I'm going to reward a company that's made the effort.

Great idea. There are many "simple" games that are addictive and fun because of the gameplay idea, rather fancy graphics or complicated gameplay. This allows anyone with a good idea, passion and energy to create something good.

A lot of native games, think I'll pick some up. Worth anyone's time for Mindustry alone.

I'm always amazed at people getting the survey regularly... I just had it on my desktop for the first time in living memory (admittedly mine's not that great!), at least ten years I reckon. During that time my desktop's changed MB's, drives, GPUs, CPUs at least three times. And I ran Steam most days for the whole period.

This so called "AI" (true AI will never be realised IMO) has opened a very, very large can of worms. And these worms are never going back in the can. Chaos will ensue.
This is not generally a good thing, in my view. Jobs will be lost and the quality of human creativity will be diluted and swamped by a tsunami of this stuff.
