I've set my scaling to 1.1 (1440p monitor), just enough to make reading "discussions" legible for these old eyes. Desperately needed!

I'm currently on holiday from Valheim (Fallout 3) and I don't want to fire up as I'm modded, I'll sort it all out when I come back to it. So has anyone noticed any "performance improvement"?

Quoting: Purple Library GuyQuoting: fabertaweI really like the notes and browser in-game, it just came in very handy trying to work out how to do something while playing. Much better than quitting, looking it up, restarting etc.For a lot of games, wouldn't alt-tab work for that?

I run no DE and I cannot get Steam to scale with any of the suggested solutions. Anyone have any ideas?
Edit: I'm not running Beta... and an idiot!

This is a constant irritation to me. And also that Steam steals focus no matter what. Drives me nuts.

Quoting: rcritIt's the smaller fonts that is killing my aging eyes. There doesn't appear to be a font size setting, just toggle to scale to monitor size (whatever that means)

Yes! Steam proceeded to download the stable and launched fine.

Did this resolve the issue?

Just installed the Beta to try and it looks nicer. Was going through settings and thought I'd clear the cache for a little spruce up and Steam instantly rebooted but now I'm stuck with the new logo spinning and a "Waiting for network...".
The terminal shows...
[2023-04-28 12:18:05] Nothing to do
I've tried various command line parameters when starting but the same. Any ideas how to reset Steam so it'll boot?

I'm just going to add this... I'm very much into Fallout 3. Crashes like hell but I'm spamming quicksave, so it's tolerable. Apart from that, working great via Proton. Worth the price of the bundle on its own!
Valheim is getting siege weapons, fortresses and fearsome foes

I got the impression they'd be manned by nasties. Presumably the player can also use them when captured (or built?). Anyway, looks good. With the drip rate of new stuff it looks like I'll be playing this game for years to come

Quoting: rcritI wonder how well siege will work in single-player.
