The game is fine, but quite shallow.
I played TH on Sega Genesis/Megadrive back in time, and nostalgia plays a part, but i'm also a "veteran" player, so i can see what the game is for itsefl too.
It's all about managing space to build rooms, and deal with the poorly designed queues (some maps, you need like 6 generalists all with 10+ patients waiting...), and recruiting the best people and form them.
There are almost no interaction between rooms, so dealing with disease X or Y or Z is just the same, only with a different (fun) animation.
So, the game is enjoyable, yes, and i do like it, somehow. It's simple, simplistic even, but be warned about the lack of depth for pretty much anything.

I didn't like Hand of Fate 1, only because of the combat phases.
I wanted to like Hand of Fate 2, but again i didn't like the combats.

Really fun to see it's my opinion, but reversed ! I love ARPG like Sacred, Torchlight, Grim Dawn etc, but only not the ones in Hand of Fate, as they are not "ARPG" enough.
Rogue Like + Card games, lovely !

Quoting: Nanobang"Action RPG" Sounds great! "Rogue-like" Uhhh ... "Card Game" Ah, yes. That's why I gave this a pass.

I tried it while in Alpha, i wanted to like it, but it's really not "fun" at all. Worst, it's even less affective than reading a dictionary with pictures, these books for kids. You just walk and click on things, with poor design, terrible camera and control, and empty passion.

Grim Dawn
Low Magic Age
Siralim 3 (but anyway it will come to Linux soon)
And the ones i cannot :
Battletech

In a positive world, where good things could happen, what may happen is all dual-booters may stay on Linux for gaming now, so more game will be registered as Linux buyers, so more games will come to Linux.

It's a great new for players, but i'm concerned about NATIVE Linux games. Too many, i think today, will use this instead of going the road to a proper Linux build.
Basically, it's a WINE inside Steam, so it's still not Linux.

That's the feeling i have too...
I'd say we will have Linux at best with the expansion, not before.
And i hope i'm wrong.

Quoting: ZaxthI can't wait for the excuse "We are unable to dedicate resources to a Linux port at this time, due to work on the new expansion"

I've been trying to play it for the last three months or so, but the difficulty, and the combat system are quite killing me. It's not a "hack'n'slash". You basically must use the Space Bar in order to be sure to hit your target, because you cannot just click your mouse like in a Diablo or Sacred or Torchlight etc. The "ported from mobile devices" part of the game is maybe too strong to my taste. But i really would like to like it.. . Should try more, but again, time is not an infinite resource for a human being.
