Well, it's not a great game anyway, so it's "normal" to have low numbers every where. It's not a bad game neither, thought.
Also, Linux games should/must come Day1 or very close to Day1. Too many games are on the way, and it's usually more attractive for many to play "the same game as the neighbour". If Linux comes 6 months later, in the meantime i probably will have many other similar games to pick from, so why should i look back ?
I mean, alright, if you are a late buyer, you have a more stable, patched, balanced games, most of the time, but you are also a lone one.

I really prefer itchio client over Steam client, even if i have much more games on Steam, because of how massive and popular is Steam, and many games i like simply don't exist outside of Steam.
But i tend to pick my games on itch whenever i can.
Then i would go to Humble, Steam and lastly, on GoG (i think they consider Linux users without much care, with not up to date games, absence of Galaxy, etc).
Steam still has one big advantage left over the others so far : you can get a refund.

The developer of Helium Rain gave an update on their sales, low overall sales but a high Linux percentage

Already bought, played, enjoyed, advertized, and i'm only waiting for full release to replay it to avoid being "burned" while in Early Access.
I really liked it so far.

I play it from time to time since several years.
Steam may give them more viewers... and troubles, too.
Hope it will become bigger, better, badder, then !

I want to like this game since maybe 2 years, but i can't. It's to shallow and i don't feel i'm needed at all. I don't feel i'm a god, powerful, meaningful, and my impacts in the world are not very impressive.
Project 5: Sightseer is finally adding some PvE content to the exploration sandbox game

Well, empty, maybe, but i did enjoy my 45 hours on it, it has charisma. Just waiting for the "final" product to replay it again.
Zombasite - Orc Schism, the expansion to the action RPG is out adding more content

I prefer Drox over the other games, partially because the space is less ugly to draw with an old engime, and more appealing to me. But my main grip with Soldak is the general artistic taste, not the technical engine itself...
Anyway, the games are great, and if you didn't yet, you should play Drox and Zombasite (IMO the previous games are obsolete because Zombasite does everything better).

The previous game, Enemy, is a hidden gem, a truly excellent tactical game, with Time Units (Xenonauts) instead of the shallow Move/Action (new XCom), and organic covers (everything can be a cover, based on line of sight). Shields block based on the very same idea. Mostly everything i destroyable, so you can hit a wall to collapse a roof on your target's head, and so on.
He also released an update this week, allowing for Steam Workshop, and it seems the game is easy to mod.
Sadly it's "old" (2015), and "ugly" (pixelated voxel), and the name "Enemy" is terribly generic, and the com was based upon the universe (play with Mario/Shinobi/etc world and enemies) instead of the gameplay, so i think many players didn't even see it. Myself, i saw it only last year.
I did a few videos about 5 months ago (in french : https://www.youtube.com/c/JeuxIndecents/), and will do a new one soon, as i started to play it again a few days ago.
