I'm always amazed how people keep themselves locked and enslaved, not only with OS choices, but with daily life matters... And it's a choice, based of lack of education and information certainly, but a choice anyway.

It has some excellent features, such as no leveling, so zones and monsters and objects are never obsolete.
I don't like much the zombie them, nor the grind ( the housing is not very appealing), and the lack of reward for exploring beside doing the main quest is a little sad, but still i think it's quite unique and will easily find its public.
I clearly enjoyed my hours on this one (finished the story line, and some more), and will play more.
Another MMOG on Linux you may want to have a eye on, is Tale of Toast. Seems kidish at first, but it's a class-less, seamless open world old school combat (target, and use skills, semi turn based like DAoC, EQ, etc) MMORPG, with open PvP and crafting matters.

Yep, this one is the "true" successor to Descent, and the best one i've played so far (i tried a bunch of them a while ago).
And, without the "Descent" tag, it's still the best of its genre, in my opinion, even if it's an alpha.

Always nice to see survey done like this, and Linux numbers are quit good all considered.
I personnaly have no interest at all in VR technology, as i often do several things while playing, like talking or drinking tea, etc, and i don't like to be cut from "reality". Even too loud sounds i don't like, and i prefer to lower the volume until i can hear both the game and my IRL surrounding (steps, doors, cars, phones, birds, earthquake, blood golem, sex slaves in the cave...)

I tried it 1 or 2 weeks ago, and i disliked it. Way too boring, and weird visual and movements too. I'd rather play a memory card game instead. Maybe later if it improves.

It's on my radar since forever, i feel.
I like how more games try to include environmental effects in gameplay, more and more. I don't mind killing people with a chainsaw, but i like to be aware about the petrol i use to power my chaisaw.

I've had lots of fun playing this game a few weeks (or already months ?) back, and i will play more for sure. I'm just waiting for more of everything, and reading the updates notes from now and then, i'm quite confident.
