Giving my monthly support to Patreon is a waste of money in the long run, because you don't get all the part i pay to Patreon. Not sure how to deal with it. A one time Paypal donation wouldn't be better ? I don't know what are the taxes and all. I can't give much because of my situation, but you're one of the very few website i subscribe, even if 2€, 2€*Many = a lot.

Isometric destruction-heavy Brigador: Up-Armored Edition has launched on Linux, some thoughts

I love this game since day-1, or even day minus one year or two, i think.

However, be aware that all Mac and Linux versions of Up-Armored are broken, and we are welcome to wait a few days for a fixed version.

QuotePlease switch your branch to "Previous" to play the pre-relaunch working macOS build. Our build process for Mac/Linux was broken at the last minute, and we're working on fixing it so that all platforms can enjoy the relaunch.

Quotebut because of a snafu the Mac and Linux builds are an incomplete test build. Please switch your branch to 'previous' to play the game as it was before.

Steam Direct, the self-publishing system on Steam will cost developers $100, Curators getting an update too

About 100€ is fine.

As myself, if i wanted to publish a game made on my freetime, i would never be able to pay 1000€ without relying on some kind of bank loan or alike. 1000€ is already a big deal for "small people", i don't know the name in english. 100€ is an engagement, but it's more symbolic than vital.

Funny, i play Low Magic Age on Steam via PlayOnLinux, and i get the survey. I think i got the survey 3 or 4 times in 2016-2017, everytime via PlayOnLinux, while it's maybe 10 to 20% of my play time...

Quoting: uoouYeah, I'm in the 'this game makes no sense without multiplayer' camp.

I loved the beta on Itchio, and still i agree. I won't buy it unless amazing special campaign with unique twist or something...

Zombasite: Orc Schism expansion announced, scheduled for sometime this summer

It's a great ARPG but the engine is old and the artistic direction is terrible (colors, shape...) like all Soldak's games. The best thing about all of them is the living world, with simple monster becoming boss if you don't take care of their evolution, and clan you can help/destroy to balance the worlds to your favor.

The best games for me is Drox Operative, space themed. Clearer in gameplay, with better clan siding. A better on screen too, as space is more "empty".

Zombasite is a mix all all previous games, and it's good, but again you have to keep your eyes in your pockets.

Quoting: MintedGamerI would definitely buy this game for Linux, there aren't enough RTS games like this any more.

Tbh I've been waiting on a modern Supreme Commander for linux for what feels like an eternity !

According to my reading over the last few months (or years already ?), it's not a modern SupCom, it's not a bad RTS but it's a different taste than TA/SupCom.

Feral announce that Dawn of War III will use both OpenGL and Vulkan

It's nice to have it on Linux with proper support, but i'm not so sure DoW3 is actually a good game. I was expecting "DoW 1.5" and it seems to be more like "DoW 0.5".

Planet Nomads officially lands into Early Access

Quoteyet another survival game

Yep, the issue, for me, is that many of them stays forever in Early Access or suddenly drops to Release, and then... nothing. They are buggy or very uncomplete or lack players for multi or interest for solo.

Also i hate the balance of most of them, and the lack of ecology concern : destroy a forest to build a shelter, dig a mountain to build a fireplace. Eat meat to stay healthy because veggies are not enough...
