DiRT Rally 2.0 - Since kernel 5.8 that added missing pieces to G920 kernel driver, it works now out of box with it, without the need of beramas ffbwrap tool. Runs really good also, constantly 100+ fps @1440p with vkbasalt sharpness added on top.

Warhammer Online (Return of Reckoning server) - This just my go to PvP MMORPG.

also i played a bit Surviving the Aftermath - sadly its not on steam atm, but it will eventually come there. Runs great under wine/DXVK

Quoting: XpanderBorderlands 3, because free weekend. Honestly, i have to say, this game is pretty bad. Runs okaish, looks ok, if blurs and TAA are turned off, but combat is so boring and dull. not enough feedback from guns or hits on the enemy or yourself, feels quite bland. Just cant enjoy it because of that. Lucky that it was free this weekend, so now i know i wont buy this game.

Ok adding more games:

Warhammer Online (Return of Reckoning) ... My go to PvP/RvR MMORPG fix.

Destroy All Humans Quite fun game, not that great gameplay but its funny a bit and works pretty well with wine. needs media foundation installed into prefix.

Quoting: saturnoyoI disagree. Borderlands 3 has the best gunplay of any borderlands game. Shooting weapons is much more satisfying than it was in BL2 or BL:pre-sequel. The guns have more weight to it.

It doesnt excuse the situation though. If its the best borderlands game combat wise then, i cant imagine what the old ones feel like.. For me at least the combat was the worst i ever got from Triple A game in a while.

What play button have you been clicking on lately?

Quoting: MohandevirJust Cause 4 and Rage 2.

Rage 2 seems impossible to play... The game keeps on crashing every 15mins or so, no natter what I try in the launch options or in the graphic settings. Not really enjoyable, even tough I like the game.

turn off async compute from the config files.
~/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/548570/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/id Software/Rage 2/settings.ini

zero crashes like that

Since the EAC builds of wine do not work after the latest EAC updates. I can't play Apex Legends anymore sadly, which i really started to like, even though i dont like battle royale games usually, but the gunplay in it was so responsive and fun, so i got quite hooked.

But that made me go back to Warhammer Online (Return of Reckoning) once again, to satisfy my PvP needs.

What have you been playing on Linux? Come and have a chat

Haven't had much time to play games these days but:

Completed Titanfall 2 story mode (campaign). Story was generic as hell, but gameplay and not too dumb AI made up for it. Did few PvP matches also, but no progression there, so it got boring.

and ofc still playing a bit of Warhammer: Return of Reckoning - Nice to jump in and have some cool PvP battles, either small scale scenarios or big Keep sieges.

NVIDIA released a big new mainline Linux Beta Driver 450.51

like on the 450.36.06 beta cuda drivers, this driver has the image sharpening built in :)

Image Sharpening

QuoteThe __GL_SHARPEN_ENABLE environment variable can be used to enable image sharpening for OpenGL and Vulkan applications. Setting __GL_SHARPEN_ENABLE=1 enables image sharpening, while setting __GL_SHARPEN_ENABLE=0 (default) disables image sharpening. The amount of sharpening can be controlled by setting the __GL_SHARPEN_VALUE environment variable to a value between 0 and 100, with 0 being no sharpening, 100 being maximum sharpening, and 50 being the default. The amount of denoising done on the sharpened image can be controlled with the __GL_SHARPEN_IGNORE_FILM_GRAIN environment variable, with 0 being no denoising, 100 being maximum denoising, and 17 being the default.

DRAG certainly seems like a promising upcoming racing game

Quoting: DuncOh, yes. First impressions are everything I hoped they'd be. I love the quick, “just one more go” old-school arcade feel to it. And I'm amazed how well it runs on my no-longer-cutting-edge rig. Handling is slightly strange, I'll agree. But it may just be the car.

So come on then... times. Anyone manage a sub-30s run yet? I did a 30.4 and it nearly killed me.

29.515, but i'm not good with controllers :( need my wheel support lol

Quoting: tuubiThe demo looked pretty and ran well for me, but the handling felt really weird. Unwieldy, not just unforgiving like Dirt Rally. Or maybe it is realistic and carts like this are just horrible to drive? I guess I'll keep my eye on reviews.

Handling is quite OK imo. Since the engine seems to be infront its expected to be quite light on the back and can easily spin off if you just keep the throttle on, specially on the mud/gravel or grass. It could use some tweaks here and there.. sense of speed is a bit lacking imo.. Other than that. Looks good, Runs good. Can't wait to Get my hands on the Early Access version.
