Quoting: boltronicsNot only does it support AMD GPUs, it supports Mesa! That Is Amazing.
With Catalyst being dropped soon on Linux, isn't it a bit of an obligation?

Saints Row 2 & Saints Row: The Third released for Linux & SteamOS, also on sale

Quoting: GBeeHow come the 'complete' collection is shown as only being available for Windows even though it only contains the games which are individually available for linux?
For some reason, one of the DLC (Genkibowl) is flagged Windows-only. Not sure if it's a mistake or if it's really incompatible.

You can now get access to the excellent Faeria for a lot cheaper, without booster packs

From what I've heard, the game is planned for a f2p release on september, right?

People that like that kind of games can also check Duelyst: there's no Linux client (yet) but the web version runs pretty well with Google Chrome (haven't checked Firefox or Chromium). And it's f2p.

(And of course, HearthStone runs perfectly with Wine but it's pretty well known.)

Street Fighter V confirmed to be coming for Linux & SteamOS

Quoting: GutterdrumsIs beta access for linux only given to those who pre-ordered the game? I know that's the case with the other launch platforms.
Current beta access for the game is for people who preordered it (except on PS4 in a specific region where it's open to anyone for technical reasons though I don't remember the details). But be aware that Capcom just announced the SteamOS port and it will likely be available after the game is released for PS4 & Windows, so I doubt there'll be a Linux beta.

The announce is a bit misleading: it doesn't state that there will be a Linux beta these days, only that with the current beta on Windows (that's due tomorrow), people will be able to test the Steam controller with the game on that platform.

Speculation: It looks like the Saints Row series will all launch together on SteamOS & Linux

It would be quite logical that these three games are ported by the same developers as they use the same engine. Saints Row 4 was first planned as an expansion to SR 3 before being released as a standalone and Gat out of Hell is a standalone expansion to SR 4.

Valve Looks Like It's Removed The SteamOS Icon For Games That Work On Linux, But Not Perfectly On SteamOS
16 October 2015 at 5:10 pm UTC

QuoteIt's probably a good thing though, as it means any game with a SteamOS icon should install on desktop Linux without the hassle of hunting down extra's.
Nope, it only means that they run on SteamOS and that if you run another Linux distro, you're screwed about the support.

Valve Is Trolling Us With A New Half-Life 3 Leak

Quoting: linuxgamerThey deserve our respect but exclusivity makes the money. Who would ever buy a Xbox if Halo wasn't Xbox only (*some were released years after for Win), me not. (Own Xbox 360 with Halo 4 but no other game)
I'm not sure it would be that interesting of a deal if the developer (Valve) got a lot of money from the SteamOS publisher (Valve) for exclusivity.

Humble Indie Bundle 15 Has Launched, Say Hello To Skullgirls

Quoting: hummer010I'm guessing we'll see at least one of the other two Deponia games next week. Probably both of them.
Yeah, that would be nice to have the beginning of the story before the last part we got in the bundle. :)

AMD Catalyst 15.9 Includes Some Really Needed Fixes For Linux Gamers, Releases Soon

QuoteAlso, I do wonder why Alien: Isolation is listed in the Linux release notes, looks like they dropped the ball for whoever is porting it.
Wasn't Alien: Isolation already announced on Linux, at least semi-officially, like in the list of the big SteamOS games that were in a sale a few monthes ago (some being planned for later in 2015, like Payday 2 or Saints Row 4)?

Developers Of Strategy Game Halfway Show Linux Sales & Support Requests
15 August 2015 at 9:03 am UTC

Well, Linux support requests is high but on MacOS it's higher. I guess it mainly has to do with the game being developed in Java, as it can be a mess sometimes; and on MacOS, it is indeed a mess (Java updates/versions are entirely managed by Apple).

I think I got some small issues the first time I ran the game, like black window when switching fullscreen or such. They were pretty easy to fix (like tweaking a config file), so 30% requests might not be that big of a problem if they can be easily fixed by the support team.

I'm more annoyed that only 6% of the players finished the game as I abandoned it myself near the end because it is very unbalanced and difficult. That's a shame, it's a geat game apart from that.
