Cossacks 3, the strategy title from GSC Game World that is currently in Beta for Linux just got a patch today. It seems the developers are making progress on the Linux issues.
Promised many times and repeatedly delayed, Cossacks 3 is now officially in open beta for all Linux gamers.
Slightly earlier than the public, I now have access to a Linux build of Cossacks 3. So far, it's not looking too bad at all.
After many, many delays and broken promises for a Linux beta, there has been some database activity that shows that just maybe Cossacks 3 will finally be on Linux sooner rather than later.
Even though it was supposed to be delayed until April, GSC Game World have announced that there will be a public beta of the Linux version on Friday. We also have a spare key to throw at you!
I have it confirmed that the planned Linux version of Cossacks 3 has been once again delayed and it's now not due until April, if they even make that.
I really hope this is for the last time, but in all fairness the delay isn't too long this time. Cossacks 3 for Linux has been delayed until the 29th of March.
We have been waiting for longer than expected, but GSC Game World will be delivering Cossacks 3 for Linux on March 15th. UPDATED.
