[FIXED] GOL not scrolling in Big picture mode
Homepcgamer Dec 17, 2015
Hi

I test the Steam Big Picture Mode time to time in Windows and Ubuntu, and I tried to enter to GOL website in the Steam Navigator finding that the web loads but I'm unable to scroll downpage. Someone else with this issue?

Tested with
Windows 7 64 bits upgraded
Ubuntu 14.04.3 64 bits upgraded

Regards

Yeah, someone else said about it, and I have literally no idea why.

If any webheads about know why our site doesn't scroll in Steam's big picture mode, I'm all ears for you.

I wouldn't count on Steam to update their browser software more than once a year, it's probably got nothing to do with the actual website.

Actually found a way to fix it, not sure why it was even in our CSS in the first place. I've emailed our original designer to shed some insight into it, but it works fine without the code on my localhost test (not live yet).

Well, maybe but with the Steam Machines coming around more and more (their browser is almost the same as Big picture mode) I doubt GOL not loading is something not to worry about... ;)

@TheBoss good to read that. Hope you solve the issue.

I just said that Valve are lazy and probably don't update their Chromium base very often, considering it requires work.

After some testing in Arch Linux (Big Picture) and SteamOS I discovered that SteamDB and Amd sites also has the same scrolling problem.

It's due to the way we were pushing the footer always to the bottom, but it doesn't really matter, and I can probably find another way to do it.

This should now be fixed with our new footer css code.
