#SteamFuckedUp

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Steam has gone COMPLETELY mental and Valve have decided to shut their servers down.

PRIVATE data has been leaked, including CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. Goddamn Valve, you really fucked up.

Yeah, I noticed something was up when I could write a review for a game I didn't own... for another user :P
According to Valve, it's not a hack... just a massive bug, and the credit cards and private info are safe ( I REALLY hope).

anything wrong with this picture? (and I only have two friends on steam, don't see how 48 of them could own this game :P )

EDIT: aaaaand... it's back online.

Seems like the data leaked is "only" the name, email direction, game list and ONLY de 4 last numbers of the credit card. In the Steam forums said that it have been a bug with cache servers, but by now the service seems normal.

Although the leak is serious seems that the "vital payment" info are not leaked.

I expect an official communicate from Valve anyway to see the full control damage.

This brings up the 'save payment information' option that I always uncheck. I'd rather enter my information in every time than have it saved on their servers. I try to do this with everything, 'cause you never know when there is going to be a screw up like this.

What I hate is that Sony doesn't have that option for the playstation network, the only way around it is to save your information, pay for whatever game you want, and then go in there and remove the card...

I don't buy many digital Playstation games for that very reason.
