Did I just stream Steam from my Linux desktop?
_J_30000 Jan 19, 2016
Well this might not be news to many of you ....

but due to Valve saying:

QuoteSteamOS / Linux:

Streaming from a Linux host is not yet supported.
In order to support streaming game controllers on a Linux host computer, /dev/uinput or /dev/input/uinput needs to be readable and writable by Steam.

I was quite surprised when I was able to stream from my Linux host on to my Linux HTPC...

after some googling it appears that it was enabled 18months ago...
softpedia : steam stream from linux host

how are you guys getting on with this?

I was able to stream from my debian machine to my windows laptop a couple of months ago. I think was Grim Fandango Remastered via Wi-Fi, which they don't recommend, and all sweet actually.
