[FIXED] 404 after post preview twice
Page: 1/2»

If I want to post a comment to an article and hit Preview twice, I get
" Game Over! This is not the page you where looking for...404 Not Found oh noes! You may have followed an old link from the old website."
And the URL is very weird (see "{:url}index.php" in it):
https://www.gamingonlinux.com/%7B:url%7Dindex.php?module=articles_full&go=comment

The same happened if I previewed once and then wanted to submit.

Of course, all your typed in content gets lost :/

Fixed thanks for that.

Previewing now uses a new method, no more page changes just a hidden preview section appears.

Thanks.

Thanks. This is much better.

But let me nitpick a bit: The way the preview element scrolls to the top of the browser window every time is a bit... annoying for an obsessive previewer like me. Maybe only scroll if the element isn't already visible and find some other way to highlight the change if necessary?

And now that you're only using dynamic js-voodoo, adding preview functionality to the forums as well would be appreciated. By me at least. ^_^

Trouble is that's not all that easy to do, but I will look into it.

I can easily put it on the forum too though.

Sorry, I shouldn't assume. But I know I've implemented something very similar with js/jquery in the past, so it's not impossible. Especially if you use one of the many available plugins to check if the element is inside the current viewport. A simple visual indication (like the jquery UI "highlight" effect) should be sufficient to indicate that the preview was updated in case there's no need to scroll.

Great to hear. Keep up the good work. :)

Okay it should work better now, please tell me what you think. It scrolls to it only if not on screen, and highlights it.

Quoting: ysblokjeNow I got 404's

was in my last email.

Should now be fixed.

Indeed !

thx again

Awesome. Works (almost) perfectly. A tiny bug: If you add new lines of content to your post and click preview for the second time, only the original content is highlighted. I assume they're not added to the preview element in the DOM yet when the highlight effect fires. Also the preview is sometimes only partially scrolled into view.

(Sorry if I'm being annoying.)
