Windows / Mac / Linux vs Linux / Mac / Windows

So, maybe the title is confusing but stay with me here.

In the English language, yes I'm aware it's become a broken mess, there used to be some rule where you were writing out nouns you would do them alphabetically.

So whenever the current operating systems are displayed, they should be Linux/Mac/Windows. Just as it should always be Android / iOS / Windows for the mobile ones.

We always see Windows/Mac/Linux, which is correct possibly by popularity, but incorrect as far as typing them out. What does everyone think of that? I'd like it to spread.

Windows/Linux/OSX should be correct imo, they are all PC platforms pretty much, even though apple products are hardware locked.

I always put Linux first and Windows last. On purpose. :P

Linux/macOS/Windows is pretty much how it should be. While they all use the same hardware, we shouldn't really call them PC as a generic term, since pretty much anything these days is a personal computer. I've hated that term as a generic thing meaning IBM PC' for a very long time.

Mainly I look at Apple operating systems as ones that'll work on generic hardware if you choose from a very tiny list of hardware. I figure for the most part it's like early versions of the linux kernel, where they slapped on a pretty front end. Horrible performance, and crappy driver support.
