Apologies for answering just now. It actually does. The games suffers a lot at 1440p, but at 1080p it keeps a good frame rate (above 60fps). The UI fonts don't scale with the resolution, then I wouldn't recommend you to play at all at 1440p.

In my case, any movement of the mouse can cause a significant frame drop (up to 30fps), but honestly I can't say if it is relevant for you, as I get it for all the games, and it seems to be related more to my X Server or DE configuration.

The Anti-Aliasing does not work at all, but it's a minor graphical issue imho.

The configuration I'm using is the following:
arch: win32
winetricks: d3dcompiler_43 d3dx9 devenum
dxvk_version: d9vk-0.30
esync: enabled
wine version: ge-protonified-4.10-x86_64
env variables: nothing relevant (DXVK_HUD=1)

Then I've just downloaded the GOG installation packages and run them within the same wine prefix.

You can now use vkBasalt with this game. vkBasalt is a Vulkan post processing layer to enhance the visual graphics of games. It is also possible to use Reshade Fx shaders.

**IF you have vkabaslalt installed on your system you can go into the System Options tab -> Environment variables and add ENABLE_VKBASALT and give it 1 to enable this.

Fiddled with few of the vkbasalt configurations to make the image sharp, but also have some anti-aliasing.

there is waremu https://github.com/WarEmu/WarEmu - but it doesnt include any item/npc database or script stuff. just the login and stuff afaik. havent tried it myself lately, but like 5-6 years ago it allowed me to log in and run around in the empty world. Return of Reckoning server is using the same emulator, but they don't release their database/scripting work to the public currently. They said it will all be made opensource and public when they are forced to shut down the servers. Also currently it requires .NET and it can be pain to get it working. RoR devs are porting all the stuff to Linux last time i heard. but yeah nobody wants to really release their database work.


edit: theres thisone also but it seems to be windows only and NET required again, no linux build.
