Have emailed Feral for a statement.

Nothing on their radar.

Hasn't been for a while, they seem to be more focused on mobile and switch nowadays, which isn't surprising as both probably sell better than Linux+macOS combined.

Guess so. Hopefully that is enough to keep them afloat. It would be a sad way to start 2021 if it's not.

Here is the bad thing is that I have MadMax Linux version installed and I would like to install the Middle Earth SHadow of Mordor Linux installed, but now that its gone will I still be able to install the Linux version or is it just gonna be proton? I like proton but I prefer native even more.

The Linux version is still there on both. The most likely reasoning is a rights issue and / or contracts with Feral expiring, especially based on the date it was done.

Sounds like an issue with your Steam Play Proton settings. It's all still there exactly the same as before except the mentions on the store pages were removed. SteamDB clearly shows the Linux launch config is there, as are the files. No content was removed.

I'm not going to download the whole game, but looks like it starts to install the Linux version for me. What happens if you pick the linux_vulkan_beta from game properties? Or force the Steam Linux Runtime? Maybe this is happening because you've played it with Proton previously?

Well there shouldn't be no issue. I downloaded Xcom 2 last night and it was the Linux version.
