So if you are interested in these kind of games (for example SuperTuxKart is part of our community) then come and join us on our new rebooted forums on https://freegamedev.net or easily chat with us on our modern webbased IRC at https://freegamedev.net/irc/
We hope to attract some more people especially if you are interested in participating in game-jams or taking part organized in multiplayer games playing FLOSS games.
We also still run our old Freegamer blog, although it hasn't seem much updates lately. Guest authors very welcome ;)
P.S.: also check out our OSG community on Lemmy: https://lemmy.ml/c/opensourcegames

Might be still a bit rough around the edges and following from the Fediverse is actually untested for now.
Additional suggestions for RSS feeds from open-source game projects welcome.
Edit: Following and commenting from Mastodon etc. seems to work.

to any place to get a RSS feed.So if you want all, it would be:
https://planet.freegamedev.net/feed/
Or if you are only interested in the games, but not the game development news:
https://planet.freegamedev.net/author/games/feed/
Or if you want to subscribe only to a category like RPG games:
https://planet.freegamedev.net/category/rpg/feed/
In theory you should also be able to add the Games or Dev Planet as a contact to your Mastodon compatible Fediverse account, but I have not yet gotten around testing that.
