Just wondering if there are any Linux Devs helping with the port of Team Fortress 2 to source 2?

Would be a shame if this came out without a Linux release.

Since it's built in s&box it will not have a native linux build.

Sort of odd to put Source 2 in the name when you hitch your wagon to s&box. They changed engine once. Maybe they'll change it again?

It's because Valve nerds get hyped over mentioning Source 2. So yes it's using it, but it's being made in s&box. So you're looking at Proton, since Garry will not do Linux directly again.

So why base it off a future version of Gary’s Mod rather than Source 2 itself?

Yes they might save some coding time with people familiar with Gary’s Mod 1 & 2.

But Gary’s Mod 2 is not finished yet, so..

Talking as someone who has not done much coding in years, and has not touched Source 2.
