That's what I'm waiting to test too. I'm not 100% sure it's fixed in Plasma 6 but I wasn't going to debug it until I switch to it.

So I've tried with Mailbox (as stated and nada, still stuttering). Then I managed to get screen tearing to work on KDE and set the immediate vsync (no vsync) mode and used a frame limiter. Generally there was a LOT of tear in the timing I expected to get stuttering.

I've read that Wayland generally uses Mailbox tearing (even if game is immediate) so it seems there there's an issue with Mailbox where it'll just jitter around?
