Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst works great with Wine.

I recommend the Ephinea server, as Schthack has unfortunately long since jumped the shark. They've got their own installer, so it's easy to setup. Best of all it's free, and you just sign-up on their website to make an account.

I've tested it with Wine in both Linux and macOS (Mojave or prior). Works just as good as in Windows, and no hiccups with controller support.

Ephinea is one of the more active servers, and it also supports the Dreamcast and GameCube versions of Phantasy Star Online as well.

Also, I don't have a Steam Deck or ROG Ally. So I can't test to see if those work well with PSO:BB.
