The retro-inspired action platformer Axiom Verge was released this week. Being attracted to both its alluring art and promises of solid and fun classic gameplay, I decided to check it out.

It's the first in the franchise to have officially licensed brands and teams, going back over a hundred years of historical seasons, so baseball fans will be able to enjoy playing around with their favourite Major League Baseball teams.

The action RPG dungeon crawler Legend of Dungeon is an interesting blend of old-fashioned hack and slash gameplay and 2.5D graphics with impressive lighting and dynamic music. The update boasts plenty of new features and additional content.

The sequel to the brutally fun Hotline Miami is set to be released on the 10th of March. More importantly, it seems that we'll have a same-day release on Linux.

A puzzle platformer with surreal imagery, Tulpa, was released late last month and almost flew completely under our radar. The game mixes highly contrasting colours, strange environments and moody music to an interesting effect.

The unique action RPG with card deck building mechanics, Hand of Fate, is finally fully released after a year of being in Early Access. The game has a spiffy new trailer to show off the game.

Destination Sol is an open world game featuring spacecraft and randomly generated star systems and planets. It's an open source project and has recently found its way onto Steam.

The upcoming Cities: Skylines by Colossal Order is now only a month away. The city-building game is due to come out March 10th and has a new trailer to show off.

Red Goddess, an upcoming platformer projected for release this month, now has a new trailer showing off some more action as well as introducing the plot of the game.

The adventure platformer game Hot Tin Roof is to be released on the 20th of February and has a new trailer to celebrate the fact.
